Are You Allowing Participants to Only Use Half Their Brain?
::Hi there. I’m Cate, an intercultural educator who runs this website. If you’re like me, you know that incorporating visuals into a workshop (or class or even private coaching session) is an excellent way to increase participants’ enthusiasm, engagement, and epiphanies.
Maybe you have a set of postcards, photos or even a VisualsSpeak image set that you use (I’ve used all three in my workshops). Or maybe you use sticky notes and flip charts every chance you get. And perhaps, like me, you get good results when you incorporate these visual elements.
But wouldn’t you prefer excellent results?
Introducing the “Unite Your Brain” Telecourse
:::Christine Martell, Co-Founder of VisualsSpeak, and I have teamed up to offer Unite Your Brain: How to Effectively Use Visuals in Training, Teaching & Coaching, a 6-week telecourse that will enable you to get excellent results every time you incorporate visuals in your teaching, training or coaching.
Each week for 6 weeks, Christine will help you understand why image-based tools engage the whole brain, accelerate learning and get results. She’ll also discuss how to design sessions that harness the power of visuals and share successful facilitation strategies.
Do you do intercultural, diversity or international education work? Do you teach, train or coach others? Are you serious about creating deeply meaningful learning experiences for participants? If you have a VisualsSpeak image set, do you wan to learn how to make the most of it? If so, this course is right for you.

A Telecourse? Really? Yes!
::
A telecourse is simply a course taught via the telephone. If you’re not familiar with telecourses, it may seem like a weird way to learn. But it’s not. It’s a really cool location-independent way to participate in professional development. Unlike a webinar, you’re not chained to your computer in order to participate. If you have a phone or Skype, you can join the call.
What’s more, after each live class you’ll receive an email with a recording of the session, handouts, and extra online resources. So if you’re suddenly booked into a meeting or need to pick up your daughter from basketball practice and can’t join a live call, you can listen to the recording on your computer, smart phone, or iPod at your convenience. The handouts and resources are available on the Unite Your Brain course page for you to download when it works for you. That’s the beauty of a telecourse.
