Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful holiday filled with family, relaxing, and fun. If you also celebrated a holiday in December, we hope yours was just as fabulous.

So now it’s January 2010! And we’re excited to share a few updates with you:

1. A new Downloads & Resources page.

Here you will find the 3 (free) Cross-cultural Resources for Busy Educators pdf downloads that we created back in September. You’ll also find our School Snapshots and a growing list of cross-cultural websites and online resources.

Got a website or resource to share (maybe your own)? Let us know so we can add it (you?) to our Resources page!

2. A book project.

I’m really excited about this. And I’m honored to be working on this project with Darla Deardorff, who gets invited all over the world to talk about intercultural competence. Both of us work with teachers and have been dissatisfied with the lack of good classroom-focused cross-cultural materials that are both relevant to current and pre-service teachers and based on solid intercultural theory. So we’re working on a book and online materials to fill that gap, and we’d like YOU to be part of it! Learn more here.

3. My Cross-Cultural Twitter Interview with Cindy King.

I met Cindy on Twitter (she’s @cindyking on Twitter) and I’m thrilled that she’d like to interview me as part of her Cross-cultural Twitter Interview Series. I’ll post more info closer to the interview date.

Cindy’s most recent interview was with David Comp (he’s @DavidComp) of the International Higher Education Consulting Blog (a great blog, by the way). Scroll to the bottom of David’s interview to find a list of the other interviews Cindy’s already done. Reading these interviews is a great way to make internet friends with interculturalists all over the world!

I think 2010 is going to be busy but hold great possibility. Do you feel the same way?
