Welcome to the final day of Schultüte Week!
(Wondering what a Schultüte is? Stop here and read last Monday’s post.)

Each day last week we posted a nifty resource from our virtual Schultüte of Cross-Cultural Resources for Busy Educators.

We planned to post this final resource last Friday. But wouldn’t you know it, we encountered a minor glitch seconds before clicking “publish.” Long story short, we got everything fixed over the weekend and are happy to be able to post the resource today.

What’s the resource?

Today’s resource is a download called Using Friday Fotos to Discuss Culture and Global Issues: Every Classroom Has a Story(pdf).

Here’s the introduction:

No matter the age of your students, pictures are a fantastic way to start conversations about culture and global issues.

Many of our readers have let us know that they use CulturallyTeaching’s Friday Fotos in their classrooms as a way to increase students’ awareness of other cultures and worldviews. We think this is awesome.

Knowing how busy our readers are, we thought we would help out by grouping some of our Friday Fotos around certain themes (classrooms, playgrounds, school transportation). To make things even easier for you, we have thought of discussion questions that can help your students talk about these Friday Fotos and enhance their cultural and global awareness. This resource focuses on photos of classrooms in six countries.

Want to read more? Download the 4-page Every Classroom Has a Story (pdf)!

Didn’t get a chance to check out the other resources in the Schultüte of Cross-Cultural Resources for Busy Educators?

Schultüte Resource #2 :: 16 Free Cross-Cultural Games, Projects & Resources
